Having worked with individuals who have diabetes for more than a decade, two main challenges present themselves time and again when it comes to meal plan compliance: hunger and boredom.
As a diabetes educator I’m often confronted with confused patients who struggle with following the “correct” lifestyle to manage this disease. One of the biggest issues and misconceptions my patients often raise is that they need to eat special diabetic foods in order to lose weight, improve health and manage blood sugar.
