Step 3 – Scoop out the inner flesh of the avocado with a spoon, separating it from the outer skin. Place in a mortar and pestle. Don’t have a mortar and pestle? A bowl and a fork should work for most guacamole recipes.
Step 4 – Take a look at your recipe. Recipes vary on whether the avocados should be mashed, sliced, diced or pureed depending on the desired level of “smooth” or “chunky” avocados.
