It’s time to stop fearing fat!

Good fats, like those found in avocados, can be part of a well-balanced diet, especially when combined with other important components like fiber.

Don’t forget about avocados when creating your weight management meal plans!

This creamy and delicious fruit can play an important role in both weight loss and weight management.

As a good source of fiber (per serving, one-third of a medium avocado) and naturally good fats, fresh avocados provide a unique combination of nutrients that can help you stay fuller longer.

Plus, they are extremely versatile.

Avocados pair perfectly in all my favorite dishes from scrambled eggs, to smoothies, salads, and even dips for fresh fruits and veggies.

Substituting avocado in place of sandwich spreads, like mayonnaise, or as an alternative ingredient not only adds variety to the texture and flavor to the plate, but may also help reduce the intake of calories, saturated fat, sodium, and cholesterol.

I love when I can show that a “food first” strategy is the best way to achieve optimal health. This is just one more reason avocados are my go-to recommendation for foods that do double-duty in supporting heart health and weight maintenance.
