Avocado Banana Horchata-Style Smoothie

A twist on a traditional drink, avocados and bananas give this horchata a boost of fruit flavor and more health benefits, including a good source of fiber and calcium. Ingredients:

  • 1 ripe, fresh avocado, halved, pitted and peeled
  • 1 ripe banana, sliced
  • 2 cups vanilla rice milk
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon

Instructions:

  1. Place avocado, banana, rice milk, ice, vanilla and cinnamon in a blender. Cover and blend until smooth.
  2. Pour into glasses and serve immediately.
