Avocado, Mango and Papaya Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1 large-sized ripe, fresh avocado, quartered, pitted and peeled
  • 1/3 cup coconut milk
  • 1/2 cup ripe mango, roughly chopped
  • 1/2 cup ripe papaya, roughly chopped
  • 1/2 cup organic, low fat yogurt, vanilla-flavored or plain
  • 1 cup ice
  • pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. Place avocado, coconut milk, mango, papaya, yogurt, ice and salt in a blender.
  2. Blend until smooth.
  3. Pour shake into chilled glasses and serve immediately. Shake can be refrigerated in an air-tight container and stored for up to 2 days
  4. however it is best to serve that day.

Notes & Tips:

For an extra kick, serve shake in red chile-rimmed glasses: On a medium-sized plate, sprinkle red chile powder in the center until a thin layer is achieved. Pour 1/2 cup of pineapple juice in a small bowl. Prepare chilled glasses by dipping rim of each chilled glass in pineapple juice and then in red chile powder.
