This delicious, sweet berry smoothie (surprise—avocados are berries too!) is filled with vitamins and ready to blend in just 5 minutes!

Ingredients:

  • 1 ripe, fresh avocado, halved, pitted and peeled
  • 1 1/2 cup frozen berries (raspberries, strawberries, blackberries and/or blueberries)
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 1/4 cup ice cubes
  • 2 Tbsp. ground flax seeds

Instructions:

  1. Place avocado, berries, orange juice, water, ice cubes and flax seed in a blender, cover and blend on high until smooth.
  2. Pour into glasses and serve immediately.

Notes & Tips:

You can boost the nutrient content of this smoothie by adding protein powder, hemp seeds, or chia seeds in addition to the flax seeds and blending thoroughly.
